Job Description

This VA Medical Center opportunity in Albuquerque, New Mexico offers CRNAs a stable, long-term locum assignment with consistent scheduling, no call requirements, and competitive hourly compensation. Providers will deliver anesthesia care to Veteran patients within a structured federal healthcare environment known for reliability, multidisciplinary teamwork, and predictable workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality anesthesia care for a variety of surgical and procedural cases within the VA system.
• Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations and manage post-anesthetic recovery needs.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and VA support staff to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in accordance with federal and facility standards.
• Meet credentialing and compliance requirements for federal healthcare assignments.

Compensation & Schedule

• Hourly Rate: $200/hr
• Schedule Options:
  • Full-time (preferred)
  • Part-time with a minimum of 1 week per month
• No call requirements
• Contract Length: Begins ASAP and runs through 09/24/2029
• Practice Setting: VA Medical Center, Albuquerque, NM
• Employment Type: 1099

Job Requirements

• Current NBCRNA certification
• BLS and ACLS
• NPI number
• Ability to complete VA security and background paperwork
• Updated resume and federal compliance documents
