CRNA full-time locum tenens position in South Dakota
Job Description
This is a full-time locum tenens position in South Dakota offering a variety of cases in a busy, fast-paced surgical environment. The facility operates under a medically directed care team model with 86 CRNAs and 22 MDAs. CRNAs will be involved in a full range of anesthesia cases, including:
- Outpatient procedures
- Bread and butter surgeries
- Orthopedics, neurology, urology
- Robotic surgeries
- Hearts, OB/GYN, pediatrics, critical pediatrics
- Structural heart catheterizations
- Various radiology procedures
- Advanced ENT, kidney transplants, GI, and advanced GI interventions
- Neuro-radiology interventional, IVF
The facility has 36 operating rooms, 5 cath labs, up to 7 out-of-department areas, and 9 GI rooms where all upper and lower GI procedures are done under monitored anesthesia care (MAC). CRNAs will not be required to perform spinals, epidurals, or blocks, as those are done by MDAs.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with flexible shift options (8s, 10s, or 12s). Call is required one night per week, and there is a weekend rotation every 7th or 8th weekend.
Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be a CRNA with experience in a wide variety of cases, including complex surgeries like neuro, robotics, and heart procedures. Familiarity with a busy, fast-paced environment is essential. Candidates should be comfortable with the care team model and have the ability to work collaboratively with MDAs.
Annual Estimated Salary or Payment
The position offers $225.00 per hour, with all travel expenses reimbursed. Lodging and/or a stipend will be provided. Compensation is on a 1099 independent contractor basis, and payment details are competitive for the region.
