Job Description
A locum tenens opportunity is available for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Ionia, Michigan, providing independent anesthesia care in a community hospital setting. This assignment is designed to support scheduled vacation coverage and offers consistent weekday day shifts with no call responsibilities.
CRNAs will work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., delivering anesthesia services in both the operating room and endoscopy suite. Providers practice independently with remote anesthesiologist supervision and care for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric.
The clinical scope includes general surgical and endoscopy procedures, minor nerve blocks, IV regional anesthesia, plexus anesthesia, spinal and epidural anesthesia, ventilation management, and local infiltration. The facility utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record system and maintains an efficient perioperative workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent anesthesia care for general surgery and endoscopy cases
- Manage anesthesia for adult and pediatric patients
- Perform regional techniques including minor nerve blocks and IV regional anesthesia
- Administer spinal and epidural anesthesia as indicated
- Document anesthesia care accurately using the EPIC EMR system

Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- AANA board certification required
- Active Michigan CRNA licensure required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
