Medicus Healthcare Solutions has partnered with a medical center in northern Maine to offer an ongoing locum tenens opportunity for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). This assignment is ideal for CRNAs seeking a predictable weekday schedule in a low-stress environment with no call or weekend requirements.
The CRNA will work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in a small, well-supported facility with five operating rooms and 43 inpatient beds. The practice mix is approximately 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient, allowing for efficient workflow and consistent case volume. Case types include endoscopy, gynecology, urology, and general surgery.
This role requires comfort with regional anesthesia techniques, including rectus sheath blocks, quadratus lumborum (QL) blocks, femoral adductor canal blocks, TAP blocks, and interscalene blocks. The facility utilizes Cerner for electronic medical records, and board certification is required. Paid travel and lodging are provided for this assignment.
Outside of work, the region offers abundant outdoor recreation, including hiking forest trails, exploring waterfalls, winter sports such as skiing and snowshoeing, and access to local historical sites. This assignment combines professional stability with the opportunity to enjoy Maine’s natural beauty during time off.
