Job Description

United Anesthesia is seeking an experienced CRNA for a locum tenens assignment in Simpsonville, South Carolina. This position offers flexible scheduling options, a supportive anesthesia environment, and a diverse surgical caseload. CRNAs may choose between a 4×10-hour weekly schedule (7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) or a traditional 5×8-hour schedule (7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.), allowing providers to select the structure that best fits their lifestyle and income goals. The practice includes general surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, and orthopedics, with exposure to a broad patient population ranging in age from 15 to 100. Home call is required approximately once every two weeks, with the average rhythm being one call per week; post-call days are typically granted. CRNAs work alongside an experienced anesthesia technician and utilize Epic EMR, with virtual training available for those new to the system. This role is ideal for CRNAs who want a balanced schedule, strong administrative support, and a clinically interesting caseload within a community-based hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe anesthesia care for general, OB/GYN, ENT, and orthopedic procedures
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and develop tailored anesthetic plans
• Administer and manage anesthesia intraoperatively and oversee postoperative recovery
• Participate in rotating home call with a 30–45 minute response expectation
• Document care accurately using Epic EMR and maintain compliance with facility standards
• Collaborate with anesthesia technicians and interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes

Job Requirements

• Active South Carolina CRNA license
• NBCRNA certification
• Active South Carolina RN and CRNA credentials
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• DEA and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) required
• Minimum one year of anesthesia experience
• Ability to participate in rotating home call
• Flu vaccination required (exemptions considered)
