CRNA locum tenens opportunity – Level III Trauma Center in Pittsfield
Job Description
This full-time locum tenens opportunity is available at a Level III Trauma Center in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The position offers flexible shift options: 4 ten-hour shifts (4×10) or 5 eight-hour shifts (5×8). The assignment runs from January to March, with the possibility of extension. There is no call requirement, but weekend and day call are available if interested. The facility has a collaborative MD/CRNA relationship, and the team includes CRNAs, anesthesia techs, scrub techs, and first assists.
Cases include a variety of specialties such as general surgery (Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy), robotic surgery (Gastric Bypass, prostate surgeries), vascular (Endo AAA, A-V fistulas, CAE’s), orthopedic procedures, mastectomies, and cystoscopies. The facility uses paper charting with a transition to EMR planned for January 2025. Temporary privileges are available to qualified candidates.
Credentialing typically takes around 6 weeks, but this process can be faster if the provider is already licensed in Massachusetts.
Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a licensed CRNA with experience in a Level III trauma setting. Applicants should be comfortable with a wide variety of cases, including general surgery, robotics, vascular, ortho, and more. Massachusetts APRN licensure is required, though temporary privileges are available. Applicants should be comfortable with paper charting and familiar with a fast-paced surgical environment.
Annual Estimated Salary or Payment
The position offers $245 per hour, plus reimbursement for travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance. The position is on a 1099 independent contractor basis, and compensation is competitive for the region.
