Hospital-Based Practice in Northwest South Carolina Needs Locum CRNAs

Job Description

This locum tenens Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) opportunity is based at a hospital facility in northwest South Carolina and is available for immediate and ongoing coverage. The position is designed for experienced CRNAs seeking a structured schedule, consistent case volume, and integration into an established anesthesia care team. Providers will participate in a rotating schedule with defined call expectations and post-call recovery time.

The role supports both standard daytime coverage and scheduled call rotation, with predictable workflows and Epic EMR in use throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for inpatient surgical procedures
• Deliver care across a broad bread-and-butter case mix
• Participate in supervised anesthesia delivery within a care team model
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, anesthesia technicians, and perioperative staff
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation within Epic EMR
• Respond to call coverage as scheduled with defined response times

Clinical Case Mix

• General surgery
• Obstetrics and gynecology
• ENT procedures
• Orthopedic surgery
• Additional exposure across cardiac, vascular, neuro, trauma, and regional anesthesia as scheduled

Compensation & Benefits

• Daily rate range: $2,300 – $5,500 per day
• 1099 independent contractor position
• Malpractice insurance provided with tail (3/1 or occurrence-based)
• Overtime compensation negotiable
• No paid vacation or educational leave (locum tenens role)

Schedule & Call Structure

• Choice of 4×10-hour shifts (07:00–17:00) or 5×8-hour shifts (07:00–15:00)
• Home call rotation approximately once every two weeks
• Weekday call: 15:00–07:00
• Weekend call: 24-hour coverage
• Call response time: 30–45 minutes
• Post-call days are typically scheduled off

Job Requirements

• Active South Carolina CRNA license
• NBCRNA certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical CRNA experience
• BLS and ACLS required
• CSR and DEA required
• Mandatory vaccinations per facility policy

• Hospital-based inpatient practice
• Care team model with anesthesiologist supervision (approximately 90%)
• Anesthesia technician support available
• Epic EMR
