Job Description
A long-term locum tenens opportunity is available for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Southern Illinois, offering an independent practice model within a small hospital setting. This role is ideal for experienced CRNAs who value autonomy, a manageable case mix, and consistent weekday scheduling.
The assignment begins March 1, 2026, with definite long-term coverage needs. CRNAs will work either 8-hour or 10-hour day shifts, providing anesthesia services for a variety of cases including general surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, podiatry, and sedation for pain procedures. Regional anesthesia skills are required for this position.
This is a 1099 locum role with malpractice coverage provided. The facility offers a supportive small-hospital environment where CRNAs practice independently. Competitive compensation and a referral bonus are also available.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent anesthesia care in a small hospital setting
- Manage cases including general, orthopedic, endoscopy, podiatry, and pain procedures
- Perform regional anesthesia blocks as required
- Ensure safe, high-quality anesthesia delivery across all assigned cases

Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- NBCRNA certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- PALS certification negotiable
- Experience required; new graduates not accepted
