Locum CRNA Assignment in Mt. Pleasant — High-Volume Ortho & Pediatric ENT, No Call

Job Description

This locum tenens CRNA opportunity is based in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and offers a fast-paced, all-CRNA practice environment with no call requirements. The assignment begins with PRN coverage dates starting February 11 and transitions into ongoing coverage beginning July 6. This role is well suited for experienced CRNAs who are comfortable managing a high daily case volume across orthopedic, pediatric ENT, ophthalmology, and endoscopy services.

The schedule is a consistent weekday day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, allowing for predictable hours and excellent work-life balance. There are no nights, weekends, or call responsibilities associated with this position. Providers will function independently in a fully autonomous CRNA model, delivering anesthesia services without medical direction.

Case mix includes a strong emphasis on orthopedic surgery and pediatric ENT cases, along with ophthalmology and endoscopy. The ophthalmology service line is primarily topical anesthesia with light sedation, as the majority of eye cases do not require full eye blocks. CRNAs must be proficient in spinals, epidurals, and regional anesthesia techniques to meet the clinical demands of this assignment.

This is a very fast-paced surgical environment, with average case times of approximately 75 minutes and eye cases averaging around 20 minutes. Efficiency, strong clinical judgment, and comfort with high-throughput workflows are essential for success in this role. Clinical documentation is completed using the HST electronic medical record system.

ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required, along with an active Michigan license. Employment is structured as a 1099 independent contractor position. This assignment provides flexibility through multiple PRN dates in the early months, followed by the opportunity for longer-term ongoing coverage.

Key Responsibilities
