Job Description

This locum tenens Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) opportunity is located in Logansport, Indiana and offers a true independent practice environment with a broad and clinically engaging case mix. This assignment is ideal for CRNAs who are comfortable practicing autonomously and maintaining proficiency across a wide range of anesthesia techniques, including regional anesthesia, spinals, epidurals, and peripheral nerve blocks.

The position is offered through AMN Healthcare as a 1099 independent contractor role. The anticipated start date is as soon as credentialing is completed, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of approximately 60–90 days. Contract options include three-month and six-month assignments, with the possibility of extension based on facility needs and provider availability.

CRNAs in this role will manage a diverse caseload that includes ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, gastrointestinal procedures, obstetrics, pediatrics, and regional anesthesia cases. This opportunity requires strong regional skills, as spinals, epidurals, and peripheral nerve blocks are routinely performed. The schedule consists of 8-hour day shifts, providing a consistent daytime workflow. Pager call is required at a 1:3 rotation, with weekend call included as part of the call schedule.

The practice operates under an independent model, allowing CRNAs to deliver comprehensive anesthesia care with a high degree of autonomy. Documentation is completed using the Cerner electronic medical record system. Travel support is provided, including lodging reimbursement as well as rental car or mileage reimbursement. Malpractice insurance is covered and includes tail coverage, ensuring protection throughout the duration of the assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent anesthesia care across multiple surgical specialties

Job Requirements

• Multistate RN license or Indiana RN license
• NBCRNA certification
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
