Locum CRNA Job in Rochester – $250 Hour – Weekly Trauma Center – Travel Covered
Job Description
A high-paying locum tenens opportunity is available for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in Rochester and surrounding areas of Upstate New York. This long-term assignment is based in a Level 2 Trauma Center and offers a wide range of general and bread and butter cases.
CRNAs will work within a care team model while maintaining a high level of autonomy in daily practice. This role is ideal for providers seeking strong weekly earnings, travel support, and consistent full-time or flexible scheduling options.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for general and routine surgical cases
- Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop care plans
- Manage airway, regional anesthesia, and spinal techniques
- Place epidurals and perform nerve blocks as needed
- Monitor patient status throughout procedures
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care
- Document cases using EPIC EMR system
Compensation & Benefits
- $250 per hour base rate
- $2,500 to $3,000 per day equivalent
- Weekly earnings ranging from $11,400 to $16,400
- $1,400 weekly stipend

Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Active New York license or ability to obtain
- NBCRNA certification required
- Experience with epidurals, spinal anesthesia, and regional blocks
- Ability to work in a care team model with autonomy
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred
Schedule & Work Environment
- Locum tenens 1099 position
- Start as soon as credentialed (approximately 45 to 75 days)
- Long-term assignment (6 months to 1 year)
- 10-hour shifts with 40 to 60 hours per week
- Full-time preferred, but 2 weeks per month considered
- Optional overtime, call, and weekend shifts available
- Care team model with 1:3 ratios and high CRNA autonomy
- Case mix excludes cardiac and thoracic procedures
