Locum CRNA – Missouri River Community, South Dakota | $225/hr + Reimbursements

Job Description

Recruiting Resources is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens assignment at a community hospital on the Missouri River in South Dakota. Work within a collaborative anesthesia department featuring 3 anesthesiologists and 11 CRNAs, primarily covering bread-and-butter cases in a supervised/medically directed model.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for general “bread and butter” cases across main ORs, GI suites, cath lab, and OB as assigned.
• Place spinals and administer general anesthesia; occasional regionals as needed.
• Collaborate with MDAs who handle pre-op visits, most regional blocks, and labor epidurals; MDAs present for inductions/emergent and immediately available otherwise.
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to perioperative safety standards.

Compensation & Benefits

• $225.00/hour with an 8-hour daily guarantee (M–F).
• Overtime after 8 hours at $240.00/hour, paid in 15-minute increments.
• Reimbursements available (travel/expenses per client policy).
• Unpaid 30-minute lunch; facility is typically consistent in providing lunch breaks.

Job Requirements

• NBCRNA-certified CRNA.
• Eligible for South Dakota licensure.
• Proficiency with spinals and general anesthesia; comfort in supervised/medically directed settings.
• Ability to meet 15-minute call response time.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Guaranteed hours: 06:45–15:15 (8 hours), Monday–Friday.
• Call: One weeknight of call every other week; weekend call may be an option (to be confirmed).
• Setting: 9 ORs total (6 main ORs), 3 GI ORs, 1 OB suite, 1 cath lab.
• Coverage dates needed:
  • Sep 2 – Oct 24: 1 provider
  • Oct 27 – Nov 28: 2 providers
  • Dec 1 – Dec 31: 1 provider
