Job Description
An independent locum tenens opportunity is available for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in Marion, Illinois. This assignment features a highly desirable 7 days on / 7 days off schedule with no call requirements, offering both clinical variety and extended time off between rotations.
CRNAs will practice independently in a hospital-based setting, providing anesthesia care across a broad surgical case mix. Cases include gastrointestinal, gynecologic, general surgery, neuro, orthopedic, spine, urology, and vascular procedures. Epic is used for anesthesia documentation.
This 1099 locum role includes travel reimbursements, malpractice insurance with tail coverage, and a streamlined credentialing process estimated at 30–60 days. A referral bonus is also available.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent anesthesia care for a diverse surgical case mix
- Manage cases including GI, GYN, general, neuro, ortho, spine, urology, and vascular
- Deliver safe, efficient anesthesia during scheduled shifts
- Document anesthesia care using the Epic EMR system
Compensation & Benefits

Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Eligibility for Illinois CRNA licensure
- Comfort practicing independently
