Locum CRNA – Solo Practice in Central Iowa | $245/hr + Call Pay & Per Diem

Job Description

Take the lead in a fully independent anesthesia setting with this high-paying locum CRNA assignment in Central Iowa. Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care across a variety of cases including ortho, OB/GYN, ENT, cataracts, podiatry, and urology.
• Perform blocks, epidurals, and spinals independently.
• Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to deliver safe, effective perioperative care.
• Take light weekday call (approximately one night per week) with optional weekend coverage.
• Support obstetric anesthesia services (400 births/year) without in-house epidural coverage requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

• $245/hour with an 8-hour daily minimum (Monday–Friday)
• $400/weeknight beeper call stipend (M–F)
• $260/hour callback pay after regular hours (2-hour minimum per callback)
• $1,800 per 24-hour weekend call coverage
• $35/day meal per diem
• Travel reimbursement, malpractice coverage, and weekly direct deposit

Job Requirements

• Current CRNA certification and active Iowa state license
• ACLS, PALS, and CPR certifications required
• Iowa State Substance Certificate and Federal DEA
• Experience with epidurals, spinals, and peripheral nerve blocks preferred

Schedule & Work Environment

• Flexible assignment: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off or full-time ongoing coverage (6 months+)
• Preferred schedule: Five 8-hour shifts; 10-hour shifts may be considered
• Light call: One weeknight per week; weekend call optional
• Facility: 50-bed community hospital with 5 ORs
• EMR: Epic
