Job Description
A large, well-established multi-facility health system in the Austin, Texas area is seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for locum tenens coverage due to continued demand growth. This assignment offers a broad and engaging case mix with no call, weekends, or holidays, making it an excellent option for CRNAs seeking flexibility and predictable scheduling.
CRNAs will practice in a care team model with MD supervision, maintaining a 1:4 MD-to-CRNA ratio. Physicians also perform their own cases. Providers rotate across St. David’s facilities and work in a modern environment with robust clinical resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for General, Neuro, Orthopedic, and OB cases
- Work collaboratively within a physician-supervised care team model
- Deliver safe, efficient anesthesia services across multiple facilities
- Utilize iPro and Cerner charting systems
Compensation & Benefits
- 1099 independent contractor position
- Competitive locum compensation
- No in-house call, pager call, weekends, or holidays
- Temporary privileges available (30–60 days)
Schedule & Work Environment
- Assignment length: 13–26 weeks
- Target start date: March 2, 2026
- Shift lengths available: 8, 10, 12, and 16 hours
- Day shifts required; evening shifts available (11a–11p or 3p–11p)
- Approximately 40 anesthesia rooms across facilities
Job Requirements
- Active Texas CRNA license required (no new license candidates)
- Comfortable with General, Neuro, Ortho, and OB cases
- Ability to work within an MD-supervised care team model
