New York Locum CRNA Job $250 Hour Travel Covered 6 Month Assignment At Home Call
Job Description
A locum tenens CRNA opportunity is available in New York offering competitive hourly pay and fully covered travel expenses. This assignment provides a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient anesthesia cases within a supportive environment that allows for a high degree of independence.
CRNAs will work a consistent daytime schedule with at-home call responsibilities and exposure to a variety of surgical procedures. This position is well-suited for providers seeking a flexible locum role with strong compensation and travel support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures
- Perform epidurals, general anesthesia, and basic regional blocks
- Insert central lines when required
- Manage OB and thoracic cases as needed
- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop care plans
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and manage recovery
- Participate in at-home call coverage
Compensation & Benefits
- $250 per hour target rate
- Overtime paid after 40 hours
- $1,000 weekend at-home call beeper pay
- All travel expenses covered including flights, rental car, lodging, mileage, tolls, and parking
- 1099 independent contractor position
- Flexible scheduling with 2–4 weeks per month availability
Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Active or eligible New York license (license assistance available)
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Experience with epidurals, general anesthesia, and regional blocks
- Comfortable placing central lines
- Ability to work independently with some supervision
Schedule & Work Environment
- Assignment length: 6 months
- Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM shifts
- Operating rooms run approximately 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- 2–4 weeks per month scheduling flexibility
- At-home 24-hour call responsibilities
- Approximately 10–15 patients per day
- 94-bed hospital with 7 operating rooms (main OR and outpatient center)
- Case mix includes general, OB, thoracic, and inpatient procedures
- No cardiac, neuro, vascular, spine, or complex pediatric cases
- EMR system: Epic
- Credentialing timeline approximately 6 weeks
