Solo CRNA Locum Tenens Role in North-Central Iowa

Job Description

This locum tenens CRNA opportunity in north-central Iowa offers a rare chance to practice independently in a solo, all-CRNA model. The assignment is ideal for experienced CRNAs seeking consistent part-time coverage with competitive hourly compensation, light call, and a broad bread-and-butter case mix.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent anesthesia care in a solo CRNA practice setting
• Manage bread-and-butter anesthesia cases including orthopedic, OB/GYN, ENT, cataracts, podiatry, and urology
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and intraoperative anesthetic management
• Respond to light beeper call coverage as scheduled
• Collaborate with perioperative staff to ensure safe and efficient patient care

Compensation & Benefits

• $245 per hour locum tenens rate
• $400 per weekday beeper call stipend (Monday–Friday)
• Call-back pay at $250 per hour with a 2-hour minimum per occurrence
• $35 per day meal per diem
• Travel and lodging reimbursement provided
• Malpractice coverage through the agency
• 1099 independent contractor position

Schedule & Work Environment

• 2 weeks per month, ongoing coverage
• Solo CRNA practice environment
• Light call responsibilities
• EMR system: Epic
• Start date: March 2026

Job Requirements

• Active Iowa CRNA license
• NBCRNA certification required
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications
• DEA and CSR required
• CPR certification required
