Job Description
This locum tenens CRNA opportunity is with a large, multi-facility health system in the Austin, Texas area experiencing continued demand growth. The assignment offers a broad and engaging case mix while maintaining an excellent work-life balance with no in-house call, weekends, or holidays required.
CRNAs will work within a care team model under anesthesiologist supervision at a 1:4 MD-to-CRNA ratio. Physicians also perform their own cases, creating a collaborative and well-supported clinical environment. The practice includes general surgery, neuro, orthopedic, and OB cases across multiple St. David’s facilities.
This is a longer-term locum assignment ranging from 13 to 26 weeks, with a target start date of March 2, 2026. Temporary privileges are available, allowing some providers to begin within 30–60 days, while standard privileging typically takes around 90 days. An active Texas license is required, as new license candidates cannot be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for general, neuro, orthopedic, and OB cases
- Work collaboratively within a medically directed care team model
- Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia services across multiple facilities
Schedule & Work Environment
- Locum tenens assignment lasting 13–26 weeks
- Shift lengths include 8, 10, 12, and 16 hours
- Day shifts required; evening shifts available (11a–11p or 3p–11p)
- No in-house call, pager call, weekends, or holidays
- 40 anesthesia rooms across rotating facilities
