Job Description
CCI Anesthesia is recruiting experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists for a traveling locum tenens opportunity supporting multiple facilities across New Mexico. This role is designed for CRNAs who enjoy flexibility, variety, and independent practice while providing consistent coverage as site needs expand.
Assignments begin following credentialing, with opportunities to remain long term and rotate between locations based on demand. This is an excellent option for providers who prefer travel-based work while maintaining predictable compensation and professional autonomy.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services across assigned New Mexico facilities
- Practice independently within site-specific care models
- Adapt to varying case mixes depending on location
- Collaborate with local surgical and perioperative teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols
Schedule & Assignment Structure
- Locum tenens role with travel between New Mexico sites
- Start dates available beginning October following credentialing
- Long-term opportunities available as coverage needs grow
- Assignment length and rotation vary by facility
Compensation & Contract Details
- Daily compensation starting at $2,000
- 1099 independent contractor arrangement
- Malpractice coverage requirements vary by site
- Potential for extended engagements and repeat assignments
Practice Environment
CCI Anesthesia operates exclusively with anesthesiologists and CRNAs and does not utilize anesthesiologist assistants. Providers work within environments that emphasize autonomy, transparency, and professional respect. Each assignment offers a structured onboarding process and ongoing administrative support.
This traveling role allows CRNAs to experience a range of practice settings while remaining aligned with a single anesthesia organization.
Position Requirements
- NBCRNA certification
- Active state licensure as required by assigned facility
- Current ACLS certification
- Ability to travel between sites as needed
- Previous independent practice experience preferred
