Job Description
We are recruiting Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Rhode Island beginning in July. This position offers flexible scheduling with options for weekly coverage or rotating assignments.
CRNAs will work within a collaborative anesthesia team consisting of one anesthesiologist and three CRNAs per day. The facility provides a diverse case mix including general surgery, endoscopy, orthopedics, OB, urology, gynecology, and podiatry procedures. Cardiac cases are optional and not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services across a variety of surgical and procedural cases
- Perform regional anesthesia techniques including blocks, spinals, and epidurals
- Conduct pre-anesthesia patient evaluations
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout procedures
- Provide post-anesthesia care and patient recovery monitoring
- Collaborate with physicians and surgical staff to ensure safe patient outcomes
Compensation & Benefits
- $265 per hour base compensation
- $275 per hour overtime rate
- $300 weeknight call pay
- $1,000 per 24-hour weekend call
- Call-back rate of $275 per hour
- Paid malpractice coverage

Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Eligible for licensure in the state of Rhode Island
- Experience performing blocks, spinals, and epidurals required
Schedule & Work Environment
- Locum tenens 1099 position
- Monday through Friday schedule, typically 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Shared call responsibilities (approximately 1:3 weekdays and 1:4 weekends)
- Team model with 1 anesthesiologist and 3 CRNAs per day
- Cardiac procedures optional and not required
