A busy hospital in Huntington, West Virginia is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for ongoing locum tenens coverage beginning in November. This assignment offers a collaborative medical direction model with strong CRNA autonomy and a diverse but manageable case mix in a Level II trauma setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for general, regional, and trauma-related cases
- Work within a medical direction model (1:3–1:4 MD to CRNA ratio)
- Deliver bread-and-butter anesthesia services with high professional autonomy
- Participate in pager-based call coverage as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR

Schedule & Work Environment

- Team consists of approximately 4 anesthesiologists and 18 CRNAs
- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days
Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Board certification required
- Prescriptive authority required
- Comfort working in a trauma-capable hospital environment
- No OB, pediatric, or transplant cases
