Full-Time Locum CRNA in Midlothian OB-Focused Community Hospital with No Call
Job Description
This full-time locum tenens CRNA opportunity is located in Midlothian, Virginia at a well-supported community hospital with an active labor and delivery service. The position offers a collaborative care team environment that balances autonomy with strong anesthesiologist support. The department includes approximately 17 CRNAs and 9 anesthesiologists working together in a collegial, high-functioning model.
This assignment is ideal for CRNAs seeking consistent weekday work without the burden of nights, weekends, or call responsibilities. The contract length ranges from four to twelve months, with the option to extend based on mutual interest. The schedule consists of a mix of 10-hour and 12-hour weekday shifts, providing predictable hours and stable workflow.
The facility is a 130-bed community hospital featuring 11 operating rooms, 2 endoscopy suites, and a 16-bed labor and delivery unit. CRNAs will provide anesthesia services for a diverse case mix that includes general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, endoscopy, electrophysiology and cath lab cases, vascular, ENT, plastics, urology, and robotic procedures. This role requires proficiency with spinals, epidurals, and regional anesthesia techniques, as OB coverage is an essential component of the position.
Anesthesia services are delivered within a care team model that emphasizes collaboration, efficiency, and patient safety. Clinical documentation is completed using the Epic electronic medical record system. Credentialing is estimated at approximately 60 days. This position offers industry-leading compensation with guaranteed hours, along with comprehensive travel expense coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for a broad range of inpatient and procedural cases
- Perform spinals, epidurals, and regional anesthesia techniques
- Participate in obstetric anesthesia coverage within an active L&D unit
- Collaborate with CRNAs and anesthesiologists in a care team model
- Document all care using the Epic EMR system
Schedule & Work Environment
- Locum tenens assignment (4–12 months, extension available)
- Mix of 10-hour and 12-hour weekday shifts
- Monday through Friday only
- No call, no nights, no weekends
- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 60 days
