Full-time Locum Tenens – Eastern Massachusetts Hospital
Job Description
This is a full-time locum tenens position at Eastern Massachusetts Hospital, located near Lenos, Massachusetts. The schedule consists of shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with no part-time options available. The position involves working in a Level 3 Trauma Center and performing a wide range of procedures, including:
- General Surgery (Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy)
- Robotic Surgery (Gastric Bypass, prostate surgeries)
- Vascular Procedures (Endo AAA, A-V fistulas, CAE’s)
- Orthopedics, mastectomies, and cystoscopies
Call is optional but not required. Credentialing takes approximately 6 weeks with emergency privileges, or 8-12 weeks for non-emergency or temporary privileges. The contract starts as early as January.
Job Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must be:
- Board Certified (Board Eligible is not acceptable)
- Licensed to practice in Massachusetts (active license strongly preferred)
Annual Estimated Salary or Payment
The compensation details are not provided, but the position offers competitive rates based on experience. The position is full-time with shifts of 8 or 10 hours, and call is optional.
