An independent locum tenens Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) opportunity is available at a small hospital in Northern Wisconsin with an immediate start. This position offers a long-term locum assignment in an autonomous practice setting, ideal for experienced CRNAs who are comfortable practicing independently and managing a diverse case mix.

The CRNA will provide anesthesia services for a variety of cases including general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, and endoscopy. Regional anesthesia skills are required for this role. The schedule consists of weekday shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with call responsibilities included. This assignment offers competitive compensation along with comprehensive locum support.

This role is well-suited for CRNAs seeking a stable, independent practice environment with consistent hours, strong procedural autonomy, and full coverage for travel, lodging, and malpractice. Both W-2 and 1099 options are available, with 1099 being preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide independent anesthesia care in a small hospital setting
  • Manage cases including general surgery, orthopedics, OB, and endoscopy
  • Perform regional anesthesia blocks as required
  • Participate in weekday call coverage
  • Ensure safe, high-quality anesthesia delivery across all assigned cases

Job Requirements

  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Active Wisconsin RN and CRNA licensure required

  • Experience required; new graduates not accepted
