Job Description
A lifestyle-focused locum tenens opportunity is available for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Smithfield, Virginia, at a brand new small community hospital near Virginia Beach. This assignment is ideal for CRNAs seeking predictable weekday hours, a low-stress environment, and a straightforward bread-and-butter case mix.
The position is full time, working 8-hour day shifts Monday through Friday with no call, no nights, and no weekends. The initial contract term is 4–6 months with the option to extend. CRNAs will practice in a supervised care model and utilize Epic for anesthesia documentation.
The facility is a 50-bed hospital with three operating rooms, offering a manageable workflow and a supportive team environment. This assignment features guaranteed hours, competitive industry-leading pay, and full travel expense coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for bread-and-butter surgical cases
- Manage general, orthopedic, GI, urology, and minor vascular procedures
- Practice within a supervised anesthesia care model
- Document anesthesia care using the Epic EMR system
- Deliver safe, efficient anesthesia care in a small hospital setting
