Locum CRNA Needed in Van Wert for Independent Practice

Job Description

This locum tenens Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) opportunity is located in Van Wert, Ohio and offers an independent practice model with a diverse and hands-on case mix. This assignment is well suited for CRNAs who are comfortable managing their own cases and are proficient with regional techniques, including spinals, epidurals, and peripheral nerve blocks.

The position is offered through AMN Healthcare and is structured as a 1099 independent contractor role. Coverage is expected to begin as soon as credentialing is completed, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of approximately 60–90 days. Contract options include three-month and six-month terms, with the opportunity to extend based on ongoing facility needs and provider availability.

CRNAs in this role will cover a broad range of surgical cases, including general surgery, orthopedics, urology, podiatry, gastrointestinal procedures, and regional anesthesia cases. Obstetric experience is required, as epidurals and spinals are part of the regular case mix. The schedule consists of 8-hour day shifts. Pager call is required, with call rotation and weekend expectations to be determined by the facility.

The practice operates under an independent model, allowing CRNAs a high level of autonomy in patient care. Charting is completed using the Epic electronic medical record system. Travel-related expenses are supported, with lodging reimbursement as well as rental car or mileage reimbursement available. Malpractice insurance is provided and includes tail coverage, helping ensure comprehensive protection throughout the assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent anesthesia care across multiple surgical specialties
• Perform spinals, epidurals, peripheral nerve blocks, and regional anesthesia
• Participate in pager call rotation, including weekend call as scheduled
• Deliver safe, efficient anesthesia services in an independent practice setting
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Job Requirements

• Multistate RN license or Ohio RN license
• NBCRNA certification
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Proficiency in epidurals, spinals, and regional anesthesia
