Locum CRNA – Virginia Beach, Virginia | Long-Term Assignment
Job Description
Anesthesia Solutions is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in Virginia Beach, Virginia, beginning January 2026. This assignment supports a large hospital system covering three facilities, including one Level I Trauma Center and two community hospitals. The anesthesia department is well established, with more than 30 anesthesiologists and 70 CRNAs practicing within a collaborative care team model.
This role offers full-scope anesthesia practice in a supervised 1:4 care team environment. CRNAs will administer their own medications and perform epidurals, spinals, and arterial line placement. The assignment is ideal for CRNAs seeking variety, schedule flexibility, strong clinical exposure, and top-tier locum compensation in a coastal Virginia community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care across multiple hospital sites
- Perform preoperative evaluations and develop anesthetic plans
- Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical and procedural cases
- Place epidurals, spinals, and arterial lines as indicated
- Participate in trauma, obstetric, and outpatient surgical coverage

Schedule & Work Environment

- Case mix includes Vascular, Neuro, High-Risk OB/GYN, Ortho, General, Thoracic, and Trauma
- Charting system: Cerner
- Credentialing timeframe: 45 days for temporary privileges; 90–120 days for full privileges
