Locum Tenens CRNA Needed in Ohio – Trauma Level I Hospital Assignment
Overview of This Ohio Locum CRNA Assignment
A recruitment agency is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for a locum tenens opportunity in Ohio with an immediate start. This assignment is based at a large Trauma Level I hospital with approximately 800 beds and offers a structured, supervised practice model in a high-acuity but well-supported clinical environment.
The position is ideal for CRNAs seeking a predictable weekday schedule without call responsibilities. Providers will work five 8-hour shifts per week in a supervised 4:1 care team model. The facility uses Epic as its electronic medical record system, allowing for streamlined documentation and continuity of care.
This locum assignment offers a strong balance between case variety and clinical boundaries, making it suitable for experienced CRNAs as well as new graduates who are open to supervised practice. Credentialing for locum privileges can be completed in approximately 30 days with a clean file, allowing for a relatively quick onboarding process compared to permanent privileges.
Clinical Practice Setting and Case Mix
CRNAs will provide anesthesia care across a defined scope of cases within a high-volume trauma hospital. The case mix includes orthopedic procedures, general surgery, endoscopy, gynecology, and minor vascular and neuro cases. There are no cardiac cases, no head cases, no obstetrics, no open-heart procedures, no transplants, and no sick pediatric cases. Some healthy pediatric cases may be included.
The supervised care team model maintains a 4:1 CRNA-to-anesthesiologist ratio, offering clinical support while still allowing CRNAs to remain actively involved in patient care throughout the perioperative process.
