Job Description
AMN Healthcare is seeking experienced CRNAs for a high-demand locum tenens assignment in beautiful San Diego, CA. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling, lodging and travel included, and an independent practice model. Credentialing is approximately 90 days, with multiple contract length options.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for GYN, general surgery, orthopedics, healthy pediatrics, spinals, and urology
- Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and manage patient care throughout perioperative period
- Work independently within an established anesthesia model
- Document care using HealthConnect EMR
Compensation & Benefits

- Rental car and mileage included in rate
- Malpractice coverage with tail (MMI)
- 1099 independent contractor position
Job Requirements
- Active California APRN license
- NBCRNA certification
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
- Ability to work some weekends (preferred)
- Experience with outpatient and inpatient anesthesia, including spinals and healthy pediatric cases
Schedule & Work Environment
- Shift options: 10-hour, 12-hour, and night shifts
- No call
- Preferred weekend availability
- Independent practice model
- Contract options: 3 months, 6 months, with extension available
- Start date: As soon as credentialed (approx. 90 days)
