Part-Time Locum CRNA – Southwest Missouri – Weekday Trauma-Level Hospital Cases

Job Description

A hospital-based anesthesia practice in southwest Missouri is seeking a locum tenens Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for an ongoing, part-time assignment beginning January 2026. This opportunity is well suited for CRNAs looking for predictable weekday shifts, exposure to a diverse case mix, and a flexible schedule of one to two weeks per month. Practice Environment

This is a medically supervised anesthesia model with a 1:2 supervision ratio. The practice supports a mix of routine and higher-acuity cases within a trauma-capable hospital setting. Credentialing is approximately 60 days, and the team emphasizes efficient workflows and collaborative care.

Case Mix & Anesthesia Scope

• Bread and butter anesthesia cases
• Gastrointestinal procedures
• Orthopedic anesthesia
• High-acuity cases in a Level II trauma setting
• Cardiac experience preferred but not required

Schedule & Workload

• Locum tenens position
• Coverage needed 1–2 weeks per month
• Monday through Friday schedule
• 8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• No call responsibilities
• No weekends
• No overtime

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provision of anesthesia care in a medically supervised model
• Preoperative evaluation and anesthesia planning
• Intraoperative anesthesia management
• Post-anesthesia care and patient handoff
• Collaboration with anesthesiologists and surgical teams

Compensation & Employment Structure

• Employment model: 1099
• All-inclusive locum compensation structure

Candidate Requirements

• Active Missouri CRNA license required
• NBCRNA certification required or in examination process
• ACLS required
