Job Description
A locum tenens opportunity is available for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in Pinehurst, North Carolina, a destination widely known as the “Home of American Golf.” This assignment offers flexible scheduling, competitive hourly compensation, and paid travel expenses while working alongside a supportive anesthesia care team in a medical supervision model.
CRNAs will provide anesthesia services across a diverse case mix including general surgery, orthopedics, gastrointestinal procedures, vascular, gynecology, oncology, podiatry, and spine procedures. Occasional cesarean sections may occur, and CRNAs are responsible for administering spinal anesthesia.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop anesthesia care plans
- Administer anesthesia for surgical and procedural cases
- Provide spinal anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures
- Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams in a medical supervision model
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery monitoring and care
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly compensation of $250 per hour
- Overtime compensation of $320 per hour
- Estimated daily earnings ranging from $2,000 to $4,000 depending on schedule

Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- NBCRNA certification required
- Active North Carolina license required
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications
- Ability to perform spinal anesthesia
- New graduates not accepted
Schedule & Work Environment
- Locum tenens 1099 opportunity
- Start date June 1
- Flexible scheduling including 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
- Weekend shifts available
- Full-time preferred but part-time and rotating schedules considered
- Medical supervision model with anesthesiologists
- Practice across several hospitals within the health system
- Case mix includes general surgery, GI, orthopedics, vascular, oncology, gynecology, podiatry, spine, and occasional cesarean sections
- CRNAs administer spinal anesthesia and may insert arterial lines
- Cardiac cases negotiable but not required
