Job Description
A locum tenens opportunity is available for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in Eastern Iowa with a national private anesthesia practice. This assignment offers a stable weekday schedule, competitive hourly compensation, and full travel expense reimbursement. The role is ideal for providers who are comfortable practicing independently in a professional clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services for surgical procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop anesthesia care plans
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures
- Manage airway support and patient monitoring throughout surgery
- Provide post-anesthesia care and patient recovery management
- Collaborate with surgical and perioperative staff to ensure patient safety
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly compensation up to $250 per hour
- Daily compensation approximately $2,000 based on schedule
- Travel expenses reimbursed including flights, lodging, rental car, or mileage
- Malpractice insurance coverage provided
- Licensing expenses covered when applicable
Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Active state license or ability to obtain licensure
- Ability to work independently in a clinical anesthesia setting
Schedule & Work Environment
- Locum tenens contract
- Start date as soon as credentialing is completed
- Full-time Monday through Friday schedule
- 8-hour shifts
- No weekends, nights, call, or holidays required (though additional shifts may be available)
- 4–6 month contract with option to extend
