CRNA Locum Tenens Opportunity in Iowa with Competitive Pay & Call Coverage

Job Description

A locum tenens CRNA opportunity is available in Iowa with a well-structured four-CRNA practice covering four ORs daily. Providers will handle a wide case mix including bread-and-butter, orthopedic, OB, endoscopy, and podiatry cases. The position offers excellent compensation with generous overtime and call pay, lodging provided, and malpractice covered through the agency.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia for general, orthopedic, OB, podiatry, and endoscopy procedures
• Perform spinals, epidurals, and regional blocks
• Provide perioperative monitoring and manage post-anesthesia recovery
• Share in weeknight and weekend call rotation

Compensation & Benefits

• $260/hour regular rate
• $280/hour for overtime or call back
• $450 weeknight beeper call (2-hour minimum)
• $1,800 for 24-hour weekend call (2-hour minimum)
• $2,500 for 24-hour holiday coverage (2-hour minimum on call backs)
• Lodging provided, stipend negotiable
• Malpractice insurance provided through agency

Job Requirements

• Board Certified CRNA with active licensure (or ability to obtain)
• Proficiency in epidurals, spinals, and blocks
• Ability to manage OB cases (approx. 350 births per year)
• Comfortable with a variety of surgical specialties
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred

Schedule & Work Environment

• Call starts at 3:00 PM weekdays; weekend call runs Saturday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM
• Looking for availability of at least 2 weeks per month
• Schedules provided well in advance; includes both weekday and weekend coverage
