Iowa Locum CRNA – $260/Hour with Lodging and Call Coverage

Job Description

A recruitment agency is seeking locum tenens CRNAs for a hospital-based opportunity in Iowa. This role involves bread-and-butter anesthesia cases, orthopedic procedures, OB, endoscopy, and podiatry. The assignment offers competitive hourly pay, call opportunities, and lodging provided, making it ideal for CRNAs available at least two weeks per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services across a variety of surgical specialties including orthopedics, OB, and endoscopy
• Perform epidurals, spinals, and blocks confidently and independently
• Support obstetric anesthesia for approximately 350 births annually
• Collaborate with a four-CRNA practice running four operating rooms daily
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Epic EMR system

Compensation & Benefits

• $260/hour regular rate
• $280/hour for overtime or call back
• $450 weeknight beeper (2-hour minimum)
• $1,800 for 24-hour weekend call (with 2-hour minimums)
• $2,500 holiday coverage (24 hours with call back minimums)
• Lodging provided or stipend available
• Malpractice insurance covered through the agency

Job Requirements

• Current CRNA certification and active state license (or eligibility)
• Proficiency with epidurals, spinals, and regional blocks
• Ability to manage a variety of anesthesia cases independently
• Willingness to participate in rotating call schedule
• Minimum one year of CRNA experience preferred

Schedule & Work Environment

• Weeknight and weekend call rotation
• Call begins at 3:00 PM weekdays and 7:00 AM Saturday through Monday
• Assignments vary week to week, most include weekend coverage
• Minimum expectation: 2 weeks per month availability
• Coverage needs extend into October, November, and December
